Theatre 62 raises its curtain and supports Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research

Calendar Girls fundraisingTheatre 62’s production of Calendar Girls was an outstanding success.  Playing to full houses every night it raised over £1,000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.  The play is based on a true story of a branch of Women’s Institute raising money for the charity and in the spirit of the play Theatre 62 decided to lend its support to this worthy cause .

Theatre 62 sold calendars of the cast in costume, or lack of costume!  June Barnett, fundraiser for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research sold goods at the theatre over the week.  June says, “I am thrilled with, and so grateful for, the money raised for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and would like to thank Theatre 62 for its support”.
